The Change I Want To See

The Storm After The Storm

The pandemic has triggered an array of emotional, physical, and economic issues as side-effects for us to deal with now. With lockdowns easing, many of us are feeling worried, fearful, and uncertain about the future. As Psychologist and experts warn us: ”We should be mentally prepared for the fact that the end of lockdown might be as hard for us as the start was.” As we go forward and start to rebuild our day-to-day lives, I question how to use creative activities as a tool for self-expression, communication, and stress release. What type of projects would benefit and suit the circumstances to bring and regain the community a sense of power and union.

How can creativity help society regain safety and confidence after a collective trauma?
